I knew I wanted to get into medicine and I went on a medical mission trip where I shadowed a dentist and I really appreciated how patients would come in in pain or with a specific need and it was able to be fixed then and there in that appointment. It’s very hands-on. I also love that dentistry is where our systemic health and cosmetic arts come together and I really enjoy helping patients feel better about themselves through their smile. I would say the most rewarding thing is helping patients who come in in pain or in an emergency situation, being able to give them treatment and make them feel better then and there at that appointment. I would say making patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. I have a lot of patients who come to me and say they have a lot of anxiety about the dentist or they haven’t been to the dentist in many years and I feel that I can help people look forward to going to the dentist and I feel that I help people feel very comfortable in the dental chair and I have a lot of patients say that they enjoy coming to Charlotte Dentistry to get care. I will say Charlotte Dentistry is completely different than any other office I’ve been in. Everyone who works here is incredibly warm and welcoming and so kind and we truly care about the patient. When I speak to the office manager or other doctors for advice, the first thing they say is well how would you want to be treated? And I hold that very true in all of my treatment planning and I feel that we really do treat patients like they were a family member.
